RULES ◎

RULES
1. Respect

Bullying or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. If someone asks you not to tag them for any reason or does not want to engage with certain content, you are expected to respect those boundaries. IC conflicts between characters should not turn into OOC conflicts between players.

2. Mod Treatment

Please be respectful towards the mod team. You can criticize the game, have negative opinions about any aspect of the game, and vent on Plurk or other social media, but we expect our players to be civil when communicating with us even when bringing up a critique or complaint. Being rude, insulting, or hostile towards the mods will result in a warning and eventually a ban if the behavior continues. If you wouldn't say it to a fellow player, don't say it to the mods.

3. Content Warnings

Abraxas is a dark game where dark themes are to be expected, but we ask that players warn for graphic gore, sexual assault, and NSFW content.

4. Activity

While we don't require a set comment count to allow players to prioritize plot and development over counting monthly comments, Abraxas is a plot heavy game with capped players and casts. Players are expected to be active and involved. We'll speak with individuals accordingly as needed. For more information, see the Activity Requirements section on the FAQ.

5. Powergaming

Characters in game will have the ability to impact the world and plot on a large scale and can also pursue individual goals. Depending on what plots they pursue and how long they have been in game, they'll have different reputations and levels of influence in the game world.

That said, there are no winners and losers and your focus should be on making a satisfying arc for your character (a goal we are happy to help you achieve) rather than on trying to "win" the game or have your character be more powerful than everyone else. On the other hand, be aware that in-game ranks and rewards require time, effort, and communication with the mods to earn and you aren't playing wrong or being ignored if you don't accomplish everything right away.

6. Godmodding/Infomodding

Don't write how someone else's character thinks, feels, or acts, and don't have your character make IC decisions based on your OOC knowledge (you might know another character's backstory, for example, but your character does not unless they've been told).
