this has to do specifically with a canon-update situation, as I plan on canon updating yennefer to s2. spoilers for s2 below!!
during s2, yennefer deals with a situation that leaves her entirely powerless. aka, her powers are gone (either taken from her, burnt out, whatever you want to call it). I wanted to play with that when she wakes up here as well, and while I have a few ideas of how to make this work, I wanted to see what works best for the game at large.
specifically, would it be possible for her to have no access to magic while she is in abraxas as well (including abraxas magic)? so that when she returns, she still deals with that complete and total disconnect? I am happy to play with however much or however little that can be brought in, but had kind of wanted it to work in a way where - perhaps - because of her losing her powers back home, she just doesn't connect to the magic here either? including an inability to get into the horizon? (I know it's important for all characters, game-wise, to be able to get into the horizon specifically, so I was going to have it that she just can't calm her mind enough to get in rather than cutting her off entirely) but I wanted to make sure that her not being able to access the powers she's gained here either, upon her return, would also work?
tl;dr, after her canon update she would technically still be connected to the horizon/network, but wouldn't be able to calm down to get into the horizon. she would also feel like she has no connection to her abraxas powers either (whether that's because of a mental block or they are actually gone, I am flexible with!)
I have future plans to finish canon updating her to the end of the season, where MORE SPOILERS!!!!! she ends up getting her powers back, so she'll eventually return to her entirely magical state, but wanted to make sure this all works in the meantime before the canon update can happen in mid-january. c:
