All information is highly biased towards Thorne's point of view and is written as if Thorne's preferred solution to the Singularity problem (harnessing its power) is the correct solution. There is some information about what the other two factions want to do (destroy it and leave it alone), but the former is presented as a reckless decision that will kill this world and all others and the latter is presented as an inevitable march towards decay.

Unfortunately the inability to approach the singularity limits the information the people of this world can gather, but some bits of information that are well-known and accepted are:

1. The Singularity predates written history and the few oral traditions that have been preserved speak of it as well.
2. It is speculated that the part of the singularity that is above ground is only a fraction of the real object.
3. If a native of Abraxas crosses the Horizon line it takes less than one second for them to be essentially vaporized.
4. Some people willingly cross the Horizon line for a variety of reasons, especially when they are very old, but the practice has been much less common as of late.
5. The view of the Singularity is still largely neutral, but it leaned positive in the past and is starting to lean negative now. Thorneans consider it essential to the world but modern scholars consider it more chaotic and potentially malicious than they did in the past, increasing the desire to control it.
