I have a kind of silly question, but it's regarding the rarity of domesticated animals available for pets/companions! If there's a specific breed or type that's rare, would we need mod approval to get one?

Specifically, we'd like for Vash and Wolfwood to happen upon a black Leosylph. (This is just to make a callback to Kuroneko in Trigun.) They're listed as common in the bestiary but the upper class have the rarer colors. Would it be possible for them to find a stray in the chaos that's been going on in the FC and adopt one? Or is there something they would need to accomplish in-game if need be to be eligible for one?
