Hello! Question about magic: Gale is in Thorne and would have been reading up a lot on the types of magic and basic spells in them, with the understanding that Thorne is Academic Magic focused. Would any of the basic 'easy mode' spells in any of the types of magic be gesture/components only, with no accompanying words? Heather expressed IC concern to him about mispronunciation, and in 5E several magic spells (by the book, which as Baldur's Gate 3 explains nothing about how spells works in game I am going to assume it's handwaving 5E mechanics mostly other than where change is obvious) don't actually require verbal components. Not many! But there are some. He's hoping to find something equivalent for her to practice to get her confidence up, and my understanding is she cannot be taught non-native magic styles until she's tapped into native magic first in some way? Do correct me if I've gone awry here!
