Hiya. I've got a little question about applications.

Say someone (wow, who) would like to app a character (which one, though) from a visual adaptation of some books (what a mystery). Would it be acceptable to sketch in the occasional blank using the books, for things like pre-series history and power limits, or would you rather the adaptation and books be kept strictly separate from each other?
