UNEXPLORED AREAS ◎

Unexplored Areas
The locations listed below are not currently major players on the world stage and have not been visited by the Summoned. Little is known about them, but what's known can be discovered by characters through research and asking around for more information.
Endsmuth
A small, isolated community on the island off the coast of Thorne, Endsmuth is the oldest of the minor territories, going back some five thousand years. The inhabitants of Endsmuth were exiled by the Thorneans for their radical anti-magic beliefs. Outsiders are regarded with extreme caution and watched at all times. Any use of magic or smuggling of magical artifacts is punished harshly: either banishment or execution depending on the severity of the crime. Citizens of Endsmuth that wish to leave are not permitted to return or communicate with their former family and friends under any circumstances, and they must hitch a ride on a boat with a traveler from another territory as no one native to Endsmuth will offer them a ride.

Endsmuth encompasses a single town with some farmland surrounding it. Architecture is simple and functional, made mostly of unpainted wood, clay, and straw. They do not shun new technology and have adopted some more advanced farming equipment in particular, but as the settlement is relatively poor they tend to live humbly. What little money there is gets tithed to the town mayor and the spiritual leaders under threat of social exclusion if one does not offer enough. Although the people of Endsmuth will generally take care of their own, the state of their economy means they have trouble seeking outside help and defectors will have to start their lives with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Endsmuth is bordered by the ocean on one side, and a harsh tundra on the other. Though they technically claim all the territory west of the mountains, very little is habitable or fertile land.
Tornis
The island city of Tornis was once the height of knowledge and enlightenment, with folk of all territories coming to their city to study every craft imaginable. The authorities enforced a strict code of pacifism, and any violence in Tornis was punished with immediate banishment. As such, it was one of the few places where people of warring territories could come together and have peaceful conversations about the future of the world. Tornis is credited with sustaining the relative level of peace that Abraxas enjoyed during its prominence.

After a season of particularly bad storms, the city of Tornis and the island upon which it stood completely vanished, with not a single object or corpse ever drifting ashore. No one is assumed to have survived the disappearance, and despite multiple efforts to salvage something from Tornis, no one has been able to go deep enough into the ocean to find anything. It is as if Tornis never existed at all, and modern folk have started to regard it as a myth.
