During the nightmare event, did his best to brainstorm a solution despite his lack of magical ability. He offered what theoretical knowledge he had, and also ran mundane errands for the more magically inclined who were hard at work.
Used one of his day passes to make a trip to Borrel, where he asked around about the queen's trip and observed the naval activity there. (This is also referenced here.)
Purchased some books from Dragon's Keep for Urianger's edification.
Moved into a small space in Thorne's castle town with Urianger, vacating the castle's quarters for the Summoned. (Referenced here.)
Attended the Nocwich gathering for the entire week, including the Nightbloom celebration. Completed the assignment, but for Solvunn rather than Thorne. (He did attempt to be stealthy about this, however, so it was potentially not noticed...)
