>> at the summit sam was a very outspoken, very present, very active member of the summit as a whole. his presence was extremely welcoming, helpful, directive, and easily noticed by the other locals who attended the summit - and would have reflected well back on the free cities in every way.

>> during the eclipse sam was out and about helping direct any and all people he could, including but not limited helping some guards also distracted by the eclipse get back into gear to start helping civilians (whether or not the enjoyed it is up to them, but sam was definitely Taking Charge and Helping out). this ran the gammot of helping children home to various neighborhoods (because he knows his way around quite well), helping calm down some of the more worried (and potentially hysterical) people who could have started chaos if they got too scared. he was loud and helpful and in charge, so really anyone who was outside or near a window during those 24 hours probably heard him in some capacity, and would have also gotten his sincerest apologies if he accidentally woke them up.

>> he is also frequently spotted around the neighborhood running errands for local merchants and business owners and/or spends a lot of time up at the barracks when new arrivals come through (and has for a couple of cycles now), so much that he's on friendly statuses with a lot of the guards and some mages who work there. he does a lot in terms of trying to get the newly summoned back to the city and helping bring them back to the barracks after, generally talking and being friends with the guards, etc.
